Attadamoune Micro-Finance was founded in 1994 by the current President, with the mission of helping illiterate and destitute women through vocational training and literacy programs. At the same time, Attadamoune has developed a microcredit activity in the central-northern region of Morocco. It offers a wide range of financial and non-financial products. Ecological objectives were introduced in 2021, and the institution’s social mission was strengthened in the same year.
The year 2022 will be a difficult one for Morocco, with double-digit inflation, the effects of the covid crisis that have not yet dissipated, a climatic crisis that has led to a drop in agricultural value added, job losses and a rise in agricultural insecurity, particularly among women, young people and vulnerable groups. Morocco has 12 MFIs, four of which account for 95% of the market. Attadamoune is one of the medium-sized MFIs.
Attadamoune is an impact institution with a strong social mission and environmental commitment. Attadamoune mainly targets social and economic activities that have been affected by the Covid crisis. By the end of 2025, it is targeting a portfolio of 26% in rural areas and 65% dedicated to women.
