Gebana Burkina Faso is a limited company that buys, processes and markets exclusively dried mangoes and cashew nuts with organic and partly Fairtrade certification. Based in Bobo Dioulasso, Gebana began marketing dried mango in 2000 through its parent company (Gebana AG), and began cashew nut processing with the construction of a processing plant in 2010.
VIIM Baoré facilite la mise en place de greniers à travers ses différentes activités (octroi de crédit, facilitation des achats auprès des fournisseurs, conseil aux chefs de village). La coopérative améliore ainsi grandement la sécurité alimentaire des villages concernés dans le nord du Burkina.
Gebana Burkina Faso has a very strong social utility. The company offers stable, high value-added commercial outlets to more than 3,000 cashew nut and mango producers. In addition, Gebana has deliberately chosen to have manual processing sites to create jobs, making it one of the largest employers in Bobo.
