Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I’m Judeh Jamal, General Manager of DAMAN, an agricultural engineer with an MBA from North Western University, married with three children, living in East Jerusalem, Palestine.

How did DAMAN come into contact with SIDI?

SIDI is DAMAN’s sponsor. She had long worked with ACAD Finance and ASALA, and came up with the idea of a guarantee fund in 2008 after the wars on Gaza and the cessation of MFI activities in this high-risk region.
Even today, DAMAN appreciates the importance of this partnership, as SIDI, the ACTES foundation and CCFD-Terre Solidaire continue to support DAMAN.

In your opinion, what is/was SIDI’s decisive contribution to this partnership?

Decisive support comes from true partnership, which includes a true sense of solidarity, and of course financial and technical support. The SIDI AND DAMAN partnership is more than a donor and a beneficiary, thanks to the 2000 SIDI shareholders who encourage SIDI, ACTES and Terre Solidaire to work in Palestine and help the Palestinian people to survive under all the illegal measures of the Israeli occupation.
